What is a "politically correct" greeting for this time of year? Do you care?

Great! Bail us out too!

I have heard rumors of another economic stimulus package – maybe as early as Christmas. I think I’m in favor of that; while our Congress is busy bailing out the big money/credit companies and possibly the automotive corporations, it would be nice if they were to pause long enough to remember the rest of us, too, and consider that it was our votes that got them there. What do you think? Let us know.

Well it's pretty much all over except the shouting. Don't know 'bout you, but I'll be mighty glad to have something else shouting for attention for awhile. Whadaya think?

It was a rough time Tuesday night for GCS City Manager Don Bowles and, when it was over, a number of audience members also expressed their disteress over what had happened. In short, a couple of Council Members took the Manager to task for the way he had handled the construction of a new bathroom and walkways in Spring Park. As a result, the Council authorized the retentiion of a special counsel and ordered an independent investigation of the Manager. This was not the first time the Council and Manager have clashed but it probably will produce the most serious consequences. In the past, the public has not been shy about voicing its views. Here now is your opportunity to air your opinions to a much broader audience.
