GREEN COVE SPRINGS – A Clay High student recently took home $3,000 after being crowned Miss Clay High 2014. Lindsey Lee, second from left, can use the scholarship funds for books and tuition at the college of her choice after being crowned Feb. 12 at the pageant where eight students competed for the title. Miss Clay High 2013, Taylor Silveira, led the students through three months of practices to prepare for the beach themed evening of competition, which involved six categories – participation, interview, sportswear, talent, formal wear and impromptu question. Also pictured is Shania Beaulieu, at left, who was named First Runner-Up and also tied with Lee for "Best Interview." Jill Foster, second from right, was named "Miss Congeniality" and Second Runner-Up, while Kalyn Burdon, right, was honored for "Most Ads Sold."
