CCSO searching for credit card thieves

FLEMING ISLAND – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office is on the lookout for at least two men are suspected in a car break-in on Fleming Island in which the victim’s wallet and credit cards were stolen.

Walter Quiett Jr. told CCSO investigators Feb. 12 that his car had been broken into and his wallet stolen at the night before.

Investigators have a video surveillance screen capture of the two men who attempted to use the stolen credit cards at the Fleming Island Walmart shortly after the theft, according to reports.

Quiett said the total value of his missing items was around $75, while the CCSO said the suspects attempted to charge $248 worth of merchandise on the man’s stolen cards.
