CLAY PREPARES: May 21 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., the Clay County Division of Emergency Management will stage its inaugural “Clay Prepares, Touch a Truck” at Orange Park Mall to educate the public about the start of hurricane season. Government and private sector emergency response vehicles, heavy equipment and other unique vehicles will be on hand to allow children to see and interact with them.

VETERANS IN NEED MUSIC FESTIVAL: May 21 at 3 p.m., American Legion Post 250, 3939 State Rd. 218, Middleburg. All proceeds go to aid homeless veterans program. $8 barbecue dinners, five local bands, 50/50 raffle.

BENEFIT CONCERT: Help Orange Park Chorale raise funds for a deserving local charity. The benefit concert is scheduled for May 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, U.S. Highway 17, Fleming Island.
