BIKE RIDE: to benefit the Rotary Club of Green Cove Springs and its local charities it supports throughout the year. HELP FOR VETERANS: The DAV’s Mobile Service Office Program will offer free assistance to veterans on Aug. 29 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Orange Park DAV Chapter 30, 470 Madeira Dr. This “office-on-wheels” helps veterans and their families obtain the services and benefits they have earned.
PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT: “Gideon Mendel: Drowning World” runs from Sept. 1 to Dec. 9 at the MOCA, Museum of Contemporary Art in downtown Jacksonville. A public reception will be held Aug. 30 from 8-9 p.m. and the artist will be in attendance. The exhibit features photographs of Clay County residents whose homes were destroyed by the flooding on Black Creek during Hurricane Irma.
