MIDDLEBURG – A Middleburg man faces 10 counts of child pornography possession following an investigation carried out this morning by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
Working along with the Department of Homeland Security, deputies arrested Rodney Thomas Ternovsky, 40, and seized various electronics devices such as flash drives he used to store the illicit material. Officers served Ternovsky with a search warrant at his Ibis Drive home at 9:20 a.m. on Feb. 15.
According to the police report, Ternovsky stored the flash drives in a locked box he had locked inside a larger locked safe. Police said the flash drive contained both videos and still images of child pornography.
“Numerous files were of prepubescent female children being sexually exploited some of which show the children being sexually battered by men,” states the CCSO report.
Ternovsky’s officially charged with 10 second-degree felony counts of possession of photographs depicting the sexual performance of a child. At the writing of this report, Ternovsky remains in the Clay County Jail without bond.
