CLAY COUNTY SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT: Meets Dec. 8 at 9 a.m. at the Clay County Extension office, 2463 State Rd. 16 W, Green Cove Springs. Open to the public.

TEEN ADVISORY GROUP HOLIDAY PARTY: Sponsored by Friends of the Green Cove Springs Library, Dec 9 at 1 p.m. Geek out with cosplay and take part in the Nightmare Before Christmas trivia contest. Open to students in grades 7-12 at 403 Ferris St., Green Cove Springs.

SOUNDS OF CHRISTMAS: Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at Penney Farm Memorial Church, 4465 Poling Blvd. in Penney Farms. The highlight of the evening is the finale where six musical groups participate in a mass choir closing selection. Admission is free and free street parking is available.

MENORAH LIGHTING: Celebrate the start of Hanukkah on Dec. 12 at 5 p.m. with Chabad of Clay County at Orange Park Town Hall Park at the corner of Kingsley and Park Avenues. Event will feature a Klezmer band, latkes and fried donuts and arts and crafts for the children. More info, (904) 290-1017.
