Curtis W. Sewell, Jr., 75 of Orange Park, FL., passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

He was born in Jacksonville, FL. on June 17th, 1948.  Curtis graduated from Orange Park High School in 1966 and received an Accounting Degree from the University of North Florida. 

He was married to Toni Harrington on August 15, 1970.

Curtis was a devoted husband of 53 years, and a loving father of three children and seven grandchildren. He was a small business owner, committed to his local church and an avid football fan. He graduated from the University of North Florida and later pursued a 20+ year career as a U.S. Army officer. During his military career, he was a part of the elite Special Forces Division, the 82nd Airborne and the 101st Airborne Division. After retiring from the Army, Curtis actively worked as a Property Appraiser for the Clay County Property Appraisers office for almost 25 years.

He is survived by his children, Ericka (Marc) Porrazza, Marsha Garcia, and Curtis Allan (Lesley) Sewell, grandchildren Ansley (Ethan) Hubbard, Justin (Sarah) Porrazza, Josiah Sewell, Lily Porrazza, Micah Sewell, Kaiden Garcia, and Kately Garcia, mother-in-law Katie Harrington, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Curtis & Pauline Sewell, twin brother David Sewell, and grandson Noah Sewell.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am with the service at 11:00 am, Friday, March 1st, 2024 at First Baptist of Orange Park. Graveside with military honors following the service at Jacksonville Memory Gardens on Blanding Blvd.
