JACKSONVILLE – A 20-0 halftime lead off touchdowns by Jack Wilkening and David Smith fueled a 28-7 Pop Warner Junior Peewee win for the Fleming Island Dreadnaughts over the Tallahassee Eagles Saturday night in their round one regional playoff game.
The Dreadnaughts, coached by Don Nichols, advance to a third round game on Sat., Nov. 17 at Sheffield Park in north Jacksonville.
Just before halftime, Brady Glavin powered off the left side of the Dreadnaught offensive line to score the third touchdown of the half.
In the second half, Tallahassee scored on a 90 yard touchdown pass, but Fleming Island added one more score with Smith powering in from 10 yards out.
Fleming Island defensive end Calvin Johnson picked up a Tallahassee fumble to end the game.
