MIDDLEBURG – Elizabeth Kirce seemed to be the only person at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the UCF-Certified Community Partnership School at Wilkinson Junior High who didn’t know she was about to be honored as the Community Partnership School Volunteer of the Year. Kirce who is an avid volunteer for Habitat for Humanity Clay County and at Wilkinson received a much-deserved standing ovation after she was called to the podium by Community School Director Shawn C. Smith. “No matter what the weather, summer, spring heat or anything, she's here,” Smith said, “She's gonna show up each time at any event, not just among the food distribution, but anytime she was called.”
