CUTHBERT, Ga. – Kayla M. Kieffer of Middleburg made the President’s List for the fall 2015 semester at Andrew College. Degree-seeking students in good standing and earning a 4.0 GPA earned a spot on the President’s list, Andrew's highest recognition.

Founded in 1854, Andrew College is a private, two-year college related to The United Methodist Church and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Cohen named to Dean’s List at Georgia Tech

ATLANTA, Ga. – Marc Cohen of Fleming Island made the Dean’s List for the fall 2015 semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester.

Petrillose graduates from Newman University

WICHITA, Kan. – Newman University officials have announced the students who completed the requirements to earn a degree at the close of the fall 2015 semester. The graduates may walk in cap and gown in the Commencement ceremony in May 2016 if they choose.

Alison Petrillose of Middleburg completed the requirements for a master of business administration.

Cadets take top honors at The Citadel in fall 2015

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Dean’s List recognition is given to cadets registered for 12 or more semester hours and whose grade point average is 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C for the previous semester’s work.

Andrew Aiken of Fleming Island made the Dean’s List and was also awarded Gold Stars for earning a grade point ratio of 3.7 or higher during the 2015 fall semester

Rachel Keefer of Orange Park was also named to the Dean’s List.

The Citadel offers a classic military college education for young men and women profoundly focused on leadership excellence and academic distinction. Graduates are not required to serve in the military but about 30 percent of each class commission as officers in every branch of U.S. military service.

Stamets named to Dean’s List

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Margaret Stamets of Green Cove Springs excelled during the fall 2015 semester, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the Dean’s List at Hofstra University.

Hofstra University is a nationally ranked private university just 25 miles from New York City and all its cultural, recreational and professional opportunities.

Merritt graduates from Georgia Tech

ATLANTA, Ga. – Michael Merritt of Fleming Island has earned a master of science in electrical and computer engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.

Merritt was among approximately 2,400 undergraduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech's 250th commencement exercises on Dec. 11-12 at the McCamish Pavilion. Franzese named to Dean’s List

KINGSTON, R.I. – The University of Rhode Island reports that 4,986 undergraduates have qualified for the fall 2015 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, other states and 18 countries.

Sophia Victoria Franzese of Orange Park was named to the Dean’s List.

To be included on the Dean's List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average qualify for the Dean’s list. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 credits with a 3.30 quality point average.

Lafontant participates in internship

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford’s Interim is a time for exploration and experiential learning away from the rigors of traditional academic courses for students and faculty alike. Brianna Lafontant, a member of the class of 2017, was one of more than 150 students who chose to participate in internships and research projects during Interim 2016.

Lafontant, from Green Cove Springs, is taking part in an internship on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., an internship she secured herself, stated school officials.

Wofford College, established in 1854, is a four-year, residential liberal arts college located in Spartanburg, S.C. It offers 25 major fields of study to a student body of 1,650 undergraduates. Nationally known for the strength of its academic program, outstanding faculty, study abroad participation and successful graduates.

Jones named to Dean’s List

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Devin N. Jones of Middleburg was named to the Dean’s List at the University of Memphis for the fall 2015 semester.

The Dean’s List is composed of students who have earned 12 or more hours in either the fall or spring semester with a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for that semester.
