Two Clay residents complete Air Force training

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Two Clay County high school alums recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland at San Antonio, Texas.

Airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

A 2017 graduate of Fleming Island High School, U.S. Air Force Airman Erick M. McKiness is the son of Nattyaris Garcia and Erick McKiness of Fleming Island. He is also the brother of Emily McKiness.

A 2017 graduate of Oakleaf High School, U.S. Air Force Airman Briana M. Antoine, is the daughter of Maria E. Antoine of Fort Lauderdale, and Bernard M. Antoine of Jacksonville and sister of Kenrick A. Seymour of Atlanta. She is also the sister of Brion M. Antoine.
