Bill lived a long and happy life surrounded by his family and friends. He started life as an Army brat, born on April 23, 1956, in Germany on the U.S. military base where his father was stationed. He moved around with his family for many years until finally settling in New Orleans, La. to attend college at UNO. It was there that he met the love of his life, Sharon, whom he married on May 19, 1979. Together they had 38 wonderful years of marriage, having four children during that time, losing one, and then becoming blessed with six grandchildren starting with the first in 2002. Bill had a love of all things related to cars. Over the years, he had several cars which he loved. His top three dream cars were a 1961 Corvette, 1967 Chevelle SS396 convertible, 1967 Pontiac GTO convertible.
His last mechanical love was his 1997 Jeep. He was also the proud owner of a 1931 Ford Model A named “Sassy” which he loved to drive in parades and show off at car shows. He was a past president and the Webmaster for the First Coast Region Model A Restorers Club of Jacksonville. He loved collecting tools his favorite part of any job was getting to go to the hardware store to get a new one!  He was a whiz with computers, and all things techy.  He was also quite fond of funny standup comedy routines and could enjoy a good musical with the best of them. Bill was the most fun person in the room and knew how to make everyone laugh. From his stories we all heard a hundred times over to his off-color jokes, everyone loved his sense of humor the most. And this is what we will miss the most, Dad, when we think of everything that’s gone now that you are no longer with us. We’ll miss you forever.
