Carl Eugene Hattabaugh
Carl Eugene Hattabaugh, known as “Spider” by his family and friends, passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2018. Carl was born on July 18, 1939 in Jeffersonville, Indiana to the parents of Kenneth Leo and Cletus Mary Hattabaugh. He was a member of South Middleburg Baptist Church where he loved to sing in the choir, he retired from Clay High School as the head custodian and he was a retired US Navy Veteran having served during the Vietnam War and his passion was Bass fishing, he would go every chance he had. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Hattbaugh, brothers, Billy Hattabaugh, Jimmy Hattabaugh and Clayton Hattabaugh. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Edith Hattabaugh, his sons, Robert Hattabaugh, (Terri Jo), David Hattabaugh (Rebecca Winters), Step-sons, Charlie Johns (Kathy), Carl Johns, Shelton Johns and Terry Johns, a daughter, Sherry Saint, and step-daughter, Theresa Whitner (Steve), brothers; Kenneth Hattabaugh and Eddy Hattabaugh (Marie), sisters; Judy Howe, Carla Wells and Kathy Pry (Dave), 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 at South Middleburg Baptist Church, 4565 Alligator Blvd., Middleburg, Fl. 32068 with Rev. Delton Kilpatrick officiating followed by interment in Padgett Cemetery, Middleburg, FL with US Navy Honors. The family received friends at the church from 6:00 -8:00pm on Monday, Feb, 19, 2018.

Matthew Garrett Turner
Matthew Garrett Turner, of Orange Park, Fla, passed away on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 at the age of 24.
Matt was born to parents Mary and Kelly Turner on July 8, 1993 in Ocala, Fla. He grew up with his younger sister Carmen Kelly Turner and attended Ridgeview High School. On March 18, 2017, he married the love of his life, Callie Henson. He attended University of Central Florida where he became an electrical engineer and worked at NASA for the space camp program.
With a smile like a reflex and laughter that filled the room, Matt had an extreme love for nature and animals. He loved space and the children with whom he shared that passion. He was gifted musically and leaves behind a wonderful catalogue of songs he both wrote and performed. He shared his gift on the guitar with all who knew him, including his fellow cancer patients at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Fla.
Matt is survived by his wife Callie Henson; mother Mary Turner; father Kelly Turner; sister Carmen Turner; Poppy Frank Reed; Grandad Lee Turner; Grammy Diane Turner; Uncle Gavin; Aunt Lori; Uncle Jim; Aunt Kathy; Cousins Gavin, Emily, Ann and David; his extended family stateside; his extended family in Spain; all of the friends that filled his life with love and laughter. He is preceded in death by his Nana Maria Reed and Uncle Bo, Leland Turner III.
A memorial will be held on February 24, 2018 at 11am at Poppy’s property. Another memorial will be held at The Venue in Orlando FL on March 3, 2018. Friends and family are invited to attend. In gratitude to Dr. Damon Reed, Dr. Rick Gonzalez and everyone at Moffitt Cancer Center, donations can be made to Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa Fla. In gratitude to John Barber, Blue and everyone at the Barber Fund, donations can be made to the Barber Fund, Orlando Fla.
