William (Bill) K. Cook
William (Bill) K. Cook, 81, went to be with Lord on December 2, 2018. He was born in Peoria, Ill. on May 12, 1937. Bill spent 20 years in the Navy, was a Vietnam veteran, and retired in 1975. He also worked Civil Service at NADEP, before retiring in 2000. His favorite pastime was traveling. Bill was married to Sally for 58 years and had two children, Scott and Annette. He had two grandchildren, Phillip and Kenneth who he adored. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on December 15 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 112 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, Fla. 32073. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Reserve Fund at the church.

Robert Glenn Myers, Jr.

Robert Glenn Myers, Jr., age 92,
passed away peacefully to his home with the Lord on December 7, 2018 in Fernandina Beach, Fla. He was born January 11, 1926 in Adel, Ga. to Robert Glenn Myers and Audrey Mae Graddy Myers. He graduated from Bacon County High School, Alma Ga. and lived most of his life in Green Cove Springs, Fla. Hiawassee and Blue Ridge, Ga. He was preceded in death by his wife Madylen McCrea Myers of Alma Ga. in 2012.
Robert was a loving and devoted husband to Madylen for 62 years and was a committed member of churches wherever he lived. He served as church deacon, church treasurer, choir member and occasionally led the singing in various churches over six decades.
Robert and Madylen were founding members of the Orange Avenue Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs, Fla. in 1960. His most recent church was the First Baptist Church of Epworth Ga. He also loved a good joke and frequently passed them along to his pastors to keep their sermons lively but hopefully short. Robert also served honorably in the
U. S. Army in World War II in the European Theater as a combat infantryman.He is survived by son Gary Alan Myers of Fernandina Beach, and grandsons Casey McCrea Myers and Carson Anthony Myers of Atlanta, and great grandchildren Natalie, Nicholas, Jackson and Joseph Myers. A graveside service in honor of Robert will be held at 2 p.m.on Friday, December 14th at Douglas Chapel, Nicholls, Ga. The family asks Robert to be remembered with donations to Douglas Chapel, 177 Douglas Chapel Rd., Nicholls, Ga 31554 where Robert and Madylen first met in Sunday School taught my Madylen’s mother, Mattie McCrea. James Henry Gentry

James Henry Gentry, 77, originally from Baltimore, Md, died on November 24, 2018, at the age of 77, but his stubbornness will never be forgotten. Jim was a man that truly relished being there for you whenever a need arose but was terrible at reaching out and asking for a hand when in need. Jim’s illness was his pain and would be his secret until the final months of his life… We truly lost a very good man.
He served twenty years in the United States Navy submarine force, another twenty years building submarines at General Dynamic, Corp. and 77 years a loving father and friend. You were a good man Dad and I pray the very best of me is you. I love you…Goodbye.
P.S. Say hello to Mom for me. James is preceded in death by two wives that he comforted before their passing. Josephine Gentry and Corrine Garvey-Gentry both passed of cancer. James is survived by his children, Darlene Guinn, Jack Gentry, and Martha K. Platter; grandchildren, Jason Guinn, Ashley Guinn, and Dustin Platter; sister, Helen Hicks; niece, Beverly Dobrochowski as well as many other family members and friends.

Shigeko Bradford,
Shigeko Bradford,born 8/26/1931 in Papaaloa, Hawaii passed away peacefully on November 28, 2018 in Ogden, Utah after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.
She is survived by sons and daughter, Jon (Michelle) Bradford, Karyl (Scott) Chase, William (Lisa) Bradford, and Charles (Lorna) Bradford, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kimerlee Jay Bradford; parents Umejiro and Misao Shikuma and her 7 siblings.
Celebration of Life will be Saturday, Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. at Crossroads Christian Fellowship in Ogden,

George L. Reel

George L. Reel, 69, passed away on November 18, 2018 in Orange Park, Fla. He was born on April 10, 1949 in Vincennes, IN, to the late Melvie M. Reel, Sr. and Barbara L. Reel.
George was a licensed Aircraft Mechanic. He retired from the United States Air Force Reserve and Civil Service. George enjoyed boating and fishing on the St. Johns River and frequent road trips to visit family in Indiana, Kentucky, Arizona and California. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Orange Park. George was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Leonard and Nellie Reel; and wife, Cheryl L. Reel. George is survived by his brother, Melvie M. Reel, Jr.; sisters, Marjorie L. Villacorte and Anita J. Reel; nieces and nephews, Alden, Sean, and Paula Villacorte, Michael and Jeffery Reel; cousins, Vera Teising and Sharon Dillion.
