ORANGE PARK - Ridgeview High pitcher Keegan Roach rolled out 10 strikeouts to squash any offense Middleburg was looking for as the Panthers scored a 7-1 win over the Broncos on Fri., March 8.

Off an 11-3 loss to St. Joseph Academy with the Panthers outhitting the Flashes 9-8 but only plating three runs, the bats against Middleburg got runners home for a four-run third inning and two runs in the sixth for the win.
Roach delivered on the mound as well as in the batter's box with two hits and one run batted in off a single in the second inning.
In the third, Clayton Gulbrand walked and got to third on grounder then stole home on a botched pickoff attempt by Middleburg.
After a walk and a balk loaded the bases, Ridgeview coach Saul Jimenez threw down his best cards with steals scoring the game 5-0 with opportunistic baserunning.
A heads-up run to first base on a dropped third strike to Ridgeview batter Antonio Santini got one more run with a sacrifice and throwing error scoring DeAntonis.
Ridgeview's final run came off a sacrifice and Jose Morales's RBI single.
Ridgeview (3-2-1) stays busy with three games in a row; Nease at home on Tues., March 12, and the road games to Westside and Palatka.
Middleburg socked Westside 13-0 and has a Tues., March 12 game at Bradford before visiting Fleming Island on Mon., March 18.
