Sheila Ann McGovern, 78, of Middleburg, Florida, passed away on October 28, 2026, following a seven-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease, during which she was lovingly cared for by her son, Scott.
Born on May 10, 1948, in Goodrich, Michigan, to Audrey Tomlinson, Sheila will be remembered for her unconditional kindness and patience, her creativity, her care for others, and her selflessness. Most of all, she will be remembered for the way her smile could heal anyone’s heart.
She crafted beautiful jewelry, wrote lovingly of her memories with her husband, Shaun, and devoted herself to sharing a beautiful life with her son, Scott, honoring their promise to live the life Shaun would have wanted for them.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Shaun McGovern; her sister, Martha Armstrong; her aunt, Marjorie Arnet; and her mother Audrey Tomlinson.
She is survived by her only son, Scott McGovern.
In lieu of a formal memorial service, Scott will be traveling to spend time with family and share memories of Sheila together.
