GREEN COVE SPRINGS – Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook and Signal 35 Fund board member Judson Sapp presented a $1,000 check Tuesday to the family of Terry and Monica Arnold.

Terry Arnold is the Training and Accreditation Manager for the Green Cove Springs Police Department. Prior to his service with the GCSPD, he was a long-time CCSO supervisor and remains highly respected for his many years of service as a local law enforcement officer. His wife, Monica Arnold, is battling an advanced type of nasal cancer. Her diagnosis includes concerns about multiple tumors affecting her sinus cavity, nerves surrounding her eye and lymph nodes.

Signal 35 is a community-backed initiative that helps the personnel who embody the county's local law enforcement, fire rescue, and emergency management teams. This nonprofit fund benefits First Responders and their families during times of crisis. Facing a cancer diagnosis like this brings not only emotional turmoil but also financial strain. The board members of the Signal 35 Fund agreed unanimously to contribute to the fundraising effort underway for the Arnolds immediately.
