The Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Fernandez Francisco, 53, at his Lake Asbury home on charges he allegedly stole about $19,000 in computer and audio-visual equipment while serving in the IT Department for the Clay County School District.
County Commission Chairman Wendell Davis said property values were up over 2.5 percent for the first time in six years, the unemployment rate dropped from 10.6 percent in 2010 to 5.6 percent at the end of 2013 and job growth was at 6.6 percent during the ‘State of the County’ address.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office charged James Michael Self of Orange Park with a 2011 arson in which investigators said he burned his house on Fortuna Drive after he lost his job.

Orange Park Police Chief Jim Boivin presented Chelsea Horne with a shadow box made with some of her late father’s belongings. Her father, Officer Craven Horne, served 20 years as an OPPD cop until he died of an aneurysm in August 2008.
