• The Green Cove Springs City Council agrees to take out a $2.4 million loan to build a scaled-down police department headquarters.
• The Clay County Sheriff’s Office uncovered a sophisticated marijuana growing operation worth $834,000 that involved buried old steel shipping containers.

• Reginald Millard, who was wanted for the execution-style murder of a store clerk in North Carolina, walked into the Clay County Jail lobby to turn himself in.
