ORANGE PARK – According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, a woman found unconscious while parked on the side of Laura Ann Lane was arrested after she woke up in a drunken stupor and fought with the deputy while resisting his commands to get out of the car.
Kimberly Ann Thompson, 46, of Orange Park, was charged with DUI, resisting law enforcement with violence and battery on law enforcement after the deputy had to knock “aggressively” to wake her up on April 8. She refused to get out of the car, and she was forced out of the car and taken to the ground while the deputy attempted to put her hands behind her back. She kicked the deputy in the leg before he subdued her.
After she was placed in the squad car, the deputy found a shooter of Jagermeister in the glove box. According to the arrest report, Thompson refused to submit to a blood alcohol test at the Clay County Jail.
Her bond was set at $10,008.
