Oakleaf High senior 169-pound weightlifter Noah Shevchook won two individual boys weightlifting class 3A state titles Thursday, repeating in Traditional and Olympics categories in Lakeland.
In the traditional scoring, Shevchook set a state record for his total of 700 pounds which came from a combination of a 315 clean and jerk and a 385 bench press. The runner-up for Traditional was a 625 total.
Shevchook was the 2025 Traditional individual champion at 154.
Shevchook missed just one of nine lifts to dominate his weight class.
In Olympic snatch, Shevchook had lifts of 240, 255 and 265 to take a 20 pound lead on his closest competitor, which included clean and jerk totals.
In clean and jerk, Shevchook missed his first lift at 305, but he came back with lifts of 305 and 315 for the win.
Oakleaf, with just seven athletes competing, finished fourth in the Olympics scoring with 11 points. Hobe Sound Pine won with 42, while Port Orange Spruce Creek was second with 25 and Flagler Palm Coast was third with 21.
