Middleburg senior wrestler Wyatt Leduc got his 150th career win in fueling region semifinal win over Tallahassee Lincoln and put the Broncos in their first ever region wrestling duals final championship match on Friday, January 24 in Kissimmee.

Middleburg High wrestling coach Coll Robertson has slowly built the Bronco program into now a state contender as his Broncos get first shot at possible state title at the FHSAA Class 2A Duals Championships.

Middleburg senior 215 wrestler Porter Loveland is top ranked in Class 2A and will face Clay High's Aaron Stacy, the number two ranked wrestler at 215 at the Region Championships on Friday, January 24 in Kissimmee.

Clay High senior 215 wrestler Aaron Stacy will try to upend his 0-2 record against Middleburg's Porter Loveland as both will face each other at Region 2A final on Friday. Loveland is ranked number one in 2A; Stacy number two.

Clay High's Andrew Loveland will be strong candidate for state medal later in spring individual tournament, but remains top competitor for Blue Devils in upcoming regions.

Clay High's Drew Holmquist at 167 will be start of strong upper weights challengers to an equally strong Middleburg upper weight lineup.

MIDDLEBURG - With a few explosive surprises, the Middleburg High boys wrestling team achieved a region finals berth for the first time in school history as they defeated long-time Class 2A powerhouse Tallahassee Lincoln a second time in one month to advance to the FHSAA Duals Region Championship with a shot at a State Final Four finish.
"These guys have just worked their butts off in the room and also on the road," said Middleburg coach Coll Robertson. "We don't shy away from tough competition and when we get beat up, we get back in the room and try harder. There were some big matches tonight from guys that have just worked their butts off all season. This is the payoff."
With Middleburg winning one spot, the Broncos faithful waited about 15 minutes at the Bronco Gym to find out that, in Winter Springs, Clay High had continued their resurgence this season with an overwhelming performance in their region matches to advance to face off against Clay in an unprecedented display of Clay County wrestling prowess.
