MIDDLEBURG – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office got assistance from a confidential informant to build a case against a man known as “Butcher” to conduct a raid on his home at 37 N. Dolphin Ave. on Aug. 29.
The result was Jason "Butcher" Patrick Terrell, 44, being charged with four counts each of trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine, three counts of using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony, possession of cocaine and tampering with evidence in a criminal proceeding.
According to four different arrest reports, deputies built their case when the informant purchased drugs at Terrell’s house.
Terrell’s next court appearance will be on Oct. 7. Until then, he will remain inside the Clay County Jail with a $1,755,039 bond.
