ORLANDO – The Clay County Fair Association, which is responsible for the annual Clay County Agricultural Fair, announced it won 15 SunSational Awards and one of three distinguished awards. The awards highlight the successful annual fair that was held in April.
“We’re really proud of these awards,” Hyder said. “It’s been a challenging year for our industry the past two years, these awards mean a bit more this year.”
The awards were given by the Florida Festival & Events Association, which hosts an annual convention for its 700 members. The Clay association won one of three Distinguished Awards for Most Innovative Project with their Ferris Wheel Speed Dating event. Hyder also was also given awarded the coveted Chairman’s Award, which is reserved for special recognition for someone who goes above and beyond in the industry and their local community. Adding to the list the fair association was also given 15 awards for various marketing materials which included three for first place, six for second place and six for third place. “Our Board, volunteers and community partners worked exceptionally hard to get this year’s fair open. I am so happy that their hard work was recognized with these awards,” Hyder said. “I am exceptionally proud of our Diversity, Inclusion & Equality award for our Unlimited Opportunities Goat Show. This was the first year for this award category.”
The Clay County Agricultural Fair will be back from March 31 through April 10, 2022.
