GREEN COVE SPRINGS – The Clay County Agriculture Fair won 17 awards during the International Association of Fairs and Expositions awards virtual show, a first in the fair’s 36-year history.
Fair Manager Tasha Hyder accepted the awards during the annual IAFE conference and tradeshow in San Antonio, Texas. The fair also was honored with the distinctive “Judges Creative Award” for the Ferris Wheel Speed Dating event that was held for the first time during last year’s fair,

“We had a fantastic fair year this year and I am so incredibly proud of all of the recognition we’ve received for our efforts,” general manager Tasha Hyder said. “We had so many challenges to get the gates open for 2021 and the fact that we opened and it was great and everyone had a great time, is just what makes this job so enjoyable.
“We are now diligently working on how to make 2022 even better.”
The 2022 Clay County Agricultural Fair is scheduled from March 31 through April 10. Concert lineups and all advanced tickets now are available at claycounty fair.org.
