Clay County businesses wrap their arms around its veterans like no other. On Monday, these businesses are offering free meals to veterans, like:
• Golden Corral in Orange Park will continue its tradition of offering active military and veterans a free buffet dinner from 4 p.m. to closing at its Blanding Boulevard location. Owner Lawrence Johnson has served several hundred veterans in each of the last two years since re-opening after the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Hurricane Grill and Wings is offering a complimentary entrée for dine-in: 10 bone-in wings, beer-battered fish and chips, steakburger, chicken Caesar salad, buttermilk crispy chicken sandwich or chicken BLT tacos.
• Applebee’s is giving a free meal from a select menu.
• Olive Garden is serving a free meal.
• Chili’s is giving a free meal.
• Bob Evans is offering a free meal from a select menu.
• Bonefish Grill will serve a free order of Bang Bang Shrimp with a soft drink.
• Buffalo Wild Wings offers a free order of 10 boneless wings and fries.
• Free coffee from Starbucks.
• From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Texas Roadhouse will offer free meal or a meal voucher, good through May 31.
• McDonald’s is offering a free breakfast combo meal with military ID
• Veterans can get a free medium drink with military ID at Scooter’s Coffee.
• Krispy Kreme is giving a free doughnut and coffee.
• Wendy’s is giving a free breakfast combo with a military ID.
• Veterans can get a complimentary slice of double chocolate fudge Coca-Cola cake at Cracker Barrel.
• Denny’s will serve a free Grand Slam breakfast.
• Dunkin will give veterans a free doughnut.
• iHop will serve a complimentary Red, White and Blueberry pancake combo from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with proof of military service.
• Cicis pizza will offer a free adult buffet.
• Red Lobster is giving veterans free Shrimp and Chips and taking 10% off their checks.
• Chick-fil-A will give veterans either a Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit for breakfast or the original Chick-fil-A sandwich for lunch or dinner.
• Outback Steakhouse is offering a free Bloomin’ Onion.
• Veterans can get a free car wash with a military ID at Waters CarWash in Orange Park through Nov. 11 at 1785 Wells Road.
• Pilot Flying J offers a free meal worth as much as $12 with Pilot’s myRewards Plus app.
