GREEN COVE SPRINGS – The county’s historic buildings and huge trees of our county’s Historic Triangle site in Green Cove Springs are adorned with lights and décor for our community’s enjoyment.
The Clerk of Courts Office invites invite families to drive, ride and walk through the area to enjoy the display and to take some fun photos, too. The Historic Triangle is located at Walnut Street and State Road 16, directly across the street from the Clay County School District’s headquarters. The 1890 Historic Courthouse is home to our Teen Court program and the Old Clay County Jail houses our Historical Archives operation. (yes, that is an “inmate” wearing a Santa hat trying to escape).
Clerk’s Office employees get to enjoy these beautiful grounds year-round, so we decided to share them with the public, too – and, what better time to share than Christmas? On behalf of Clerk of Court and Comptroller Tara S. Green, her staff, and the many volunteers who helped install the décor, they wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
The Courtyard will be open for residents for no charge to enjoy the history buildings and holiday lights until Jan. 3. The lights are turned on nightly at 5:30.
