MIDDLEBURG — According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, a man with a petit theft warrant was arrested on Aug. 14 at a daycare center for having a pair of brass knuckles in his back pocket.

Ryan Michael Ragsdale, 27, of Middleburg, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon while being searched during the arrest for petit theft. Ragdale was convicted last year of possession of a controlled substance.

His bond was set at $27,505.
