CLAY COUNTY – In observance of the Christmas holiday, all Clay County government buildings will be closed on Dec. 23 a 24. Most offices will reopen at scheduled times on Dec. 27, with the exception of the Clerk of Court and Comptroller’s Office and the Clay County Courthouse, which will be closed on Dec. 27.

The Clay County Administration Building will also close at 2 p.m. on Dec. 22. Other early office closures on this day may vary. The Clay County Archives Center will be closed through Jan. 2.

County government offices will also be closed on December 31, 2021, in observance of New Year’s Day. Offices will reopen at scheduled times on Jan. 3. The Clay County Administration Building will also close at noon on Dec. 30. The Tax Collector’s Office will be closed all day on Dec. 30 in alignment with the state office closures that service their department. Other early office closures on this day may vary.

Closures will include the Clay County Administration Building and Public Works Department, Clerk of Court and Comptroller’s Office, Clay County Courthouse, Property Appraiser, Tax Collector, Supervisor of Elections and Sheriff’s Office Non-Emergency Administration Offices.

Camp Chowenwaw Park will be closed to visitors and for campsite and building rentals beginning Dec. 23 at 3 p.m. and will reopen for day-use on Dec. 26 at 8 a.m. Campsite rentals will resume on Dec. 27 at 1 p.m. The park will also be closed to campsite and building rentals on Dec. 31. Rentals will resume on Jan.1.

All Clay County Public Libraries will close at 5 p.m. on Dec. 22 and will remain closed through Dec. 26. No materials will be due on those days. Libraries will reopen at noon on Dec. 27. Libraries will also close at 5 p.m. on Dec. 30 and will remain closed through Jan. 2. No materials will be due on these days. Libraries will reopen at noon on Jan. 3.

Clay County Animal Services will close to the public at 2 p.m. on Dec. 23 and will remain closed through Dec. 27. The shelter will reopen on Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. The shelter will also close at 2 p.m. on Dec. 31, through Jan. 3. The shelter will reopen on Jan. 4, at 11 a.m.

The Rosemary Hill Solid Waste Management Facility and all Environmental Convenience Centers will be closed on Christmas and New Year’s days. Clay County Environmental Services Administration Offices will remain closed through Dec. 26. Administrative offices will also close at noon on Dec. 30 and will remain closed through Jan. 2.

Town Hall at Orange Park will be closed on Dec. 23 and 24 and reopen on Dec. 27 and Dec. 31 for New Year’s Eve.

City Hall offices at Green Cove Springs also will be closed on Dec. 23 and 24 and reopen on Dec. 27.

Keystone Heights City Hall will be closed on Dec. 24 and reopen on Dec. 27.
