CLAY COUNTY – All Northeast Florida YMCA facilities, including Dye Clay at 3322 Moody Ave., in Orange Park, and Barco-Newton Family at 2075 Town Center Blvd., on Fleming Island, and will be closed for at least two weeks to adhere to new information from the CDC and local goverment leaders, as well as guidance from key leadership on the Y’s Metro Board.
“The safety and well-being of our staff, members, volunteers and guests is always the Y’s top priority. It is our social responsibility to do our part in the face of this unprecedented health emergency. With new information from the CDC and local government leaders, as well as guidance from key leadership on our Metro Board, we’ve made the decision to close all First Coast YMCA branches today at 5 p.m. until further notice,” Eric K. Mann, president and CEO of the First Coast YMCA, said.
“This is a precautionary measure and we remain committed to keeping the First Coast strong during these uncertain times. Our leadership team will review our decision in two weeks to determine if we should reopen. In the meantime, we are providing health and wellness resources virtually to our members.
