PENNEY FARMS - George and Helen West Celebrate their 70th Wedding Anniversary with a special breakfast Wednesday morning in the dining room at Penney Retirement Community. They are Independent Residence who live in a home at Penney Retirement Community.

The community is closed due to COVID-19, but they were able to celebrate in isolation and have a special breakfast.
George Wes has been on the Board of Directors for Penney Retirement Community for some time.
George served in World War II in the 1940s and in Vietnam 20 years later. At one time we was stationed at Camp Blanding was invited to go work at Penney Farms to rake leaves. Little did George know that 66 years later he would be living there.

George and his wife Helen, both college graduates, truly cherish the people at Penney Retirement Community. Everyone is interested in helping one another. People from all areas of life make it very interesting to live at PRC... good conversations ... because of the lives they have lived ... missionaries, retired engineers, pastors, successful business people, retired military officers and more.
