FLEMING ISLAND - Oakleaf High School senior pitcher Madisyn Davis and St. Johns Country Day School senior pitcher Brianna Enter both garnered individual players of the year honors in their respective classes as the Miracle Sports All State softball teams for 2019 were released via press release from Miracle Sports, the official wegsite of Florida High School softball.

In Class 8A, Davis, who led the Lady Knights, 25-5, to a third Final Four berth, took Defensive player of the year award while Enter, a pitcher for the Lady Spartans, earned the Class 3A Pitcher of the Year as she got her Lady Spartans to the region semifinal before a dramatic 10th inning homer ended her season.

Ironically, that 10th inning dinger came from Offensive Player of the Year Chloe Culp of Tallahassee North Florida, who will become a teammate of Enter at Florida State University.

For Davis, the award culminates a four year career that includes a Class 8A title, a Class 8A runnerup finish and a Class 8A Final Four berth (state semifinal loss to Winter Springs 2019). Davis was 8A pitcher of the year in 2018 and a first team Class 8A selection in 2017. Davis will head to University of Central Florida next year. Oakleaf was a region finalist in 2016.

Enter was a first team selection pitcher in 2017 and 2018.

Also a multiple year selection on this year's Class 8A team is Oakleaf third baseman Baylee Goddard who garners her fourth all state selection in four years before venturing to the University of Florida. Goddard was second team in 2017 and a first teamer last year on an Oakleaf team that had eight first teamers.

For 2019, Oakleaf put six first teamers on the list with Davis, Goddard being joined by Kaylee Lambrecht, a junior shortstop; Katie Kistler, a junior outfielder; Jaeda McFarland, a junior outfielder and Aspen Windesheim, a junior outfielder.

Also in Class 8A, Fleming Island sophomore pitcher Morgan Kendrick was selected to the second team.

In Class 7A, with Middleburg the lone area team having a late season playoff run that ended with a dramatic 3-2 loss to 7A runnerup Creekside in the region semifinal, sophomore pitcher Kaylee Crickmore, who orchestrated an upset of Bartram Trail in the region quarterfinal, was a second team pitcher selection with junior outfielder Emily Stewart and senior Utility/designated hitter Olivia Wilber joining her.

In Class 6A, Ridgeview, after their sterling Final Four finish, got top honors with the sisters duo of Brittany and Brooke Michael, both twin sophomores, going first team as pitcher and catcher. Panther teammates Alyssa Adams, at shortstop, and sophomore outfielder Ashlyn Halford were second team choices.

In Class 3A, Enter was joined on first team by catcher/infielder Maddie Wilkes on second team. Wilkes heads to the United States Military Academy West Point next year.
