KEYSTONE HEIGHTS - Keystone Heights High volleyball celebrated its four seniors; Mckinlee Kirkland, Emma Stanley, Mya Jennings, and Marissa Dowell in a unique Saturday morning contest against Bradford County that got a 3-0 win for coach Kaitlyn Walker.
The Lady Indians, now a much improved 7-14, 3-3 in district 5-3A play, got great scoring power from Jennings and sophomore Mia Rivera at the net with a flurry of scoring shots. At the same time, Jennings in the defensive backfield kept the Bradford attack, led by freshman Wynter Barrington (6'-0") and Victoria Hudgens (5'-11") as the Indians won all three matches with late flurries.
Stats-wise, Rivera is Keystone Height's top hitter with 159 kills for the season with Jennings adding 64 scores.
Keystone Heights opens in district tournament round-one play with a road trip to Crescent City on Monday, October 14. Keystone Heights will host the district semifinals (Oct. 15) and final (Oct. 17).
