GREEN COVE SPRINGS – If you’ve already requested a Vote By Mail Ballot for the general election, start checking your mailbox as many voters have already received them.
One of the appeals of a vote by mail ballot, formerly known as absentee ballot, is the time it allows you to research the candidates and amendments. Once you’ve marked your choices, though, mail it back as soon as possible – don’t wait to return it. Vote by Mail ballots must be in the Elections Office by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 3.
If you’d rather not mail it back, you can hand deliver your ballot to the Elections Office during regular business hours. Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office is located at 500 N. Orange Ave. in Green Cove Springs and also has a secure drop box in front of the building that’s available around the clock. Another option is to turn your mail ballot in during Early Voting. All seven locations will have a secure drop box available from Oct. 19-31 from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. You can visit ClayElections.gov to find a list of locations.
Still need a Vote by Mail ballot? Oct. 24 is the deadline, but again, don’t wait until the last minute. Go online to ClayElections.gov and order yours today. You can also track the progress of your mail ballot at TrackMyClayBallot.com from start to finish.
If you have questions or need more information, visit ClayElections.gov or call the office at (904) 269-6350.
