Elections office warns of third party mail campaign

Posted

CLAY COUNTY – Clay County Elections Office has been made aware of several reports of voters receiving postcards across the state of Florida. These custom postcards have various political statements but include the website and office phone number of the Elections Office to request Vote by Mail ballots. Many are not mailed from within Florida and are postmarked from other states.

The cards promote a specific party; however, they have been sent to voters not registered with that party, sparking confusion and complaints from voters. While these postcards may be unwelcome, we stress the fact they are from a third party and not from our office.

Clay County Elections Office encourages every eligible voter to visit ClayElections.gov to review their current information and make any updates. Remember, ClayElections.gov is your source for verified election information.

If you have questions, or need more information, visit ClayElections.gov or call our office at (904) 269-6350.
