Faith Walk: Who is First in 2022?

Goodbye 2021! 2022 is here! Millions of resolutions have been made. While these resolutions are made with the best of intentions, sadly, most of them will be broken.

Does that mean that we shouldn’t bother making resolutions at all? Absolutely not! Resolutions are valuable and can enrich our lives. But first and foremost, it’s essential that you make your resolution with the One who can truly bring real and lasting changes to your life.

It’s all about where we place our trust and focus in life. So many place their trust in the wrong things. They put their faith in the things of the world. They rely too heavily upon their own strength. But the truth of the matter is that the things of the world will let us down and lead us astray. Our own strength will fail us.

That’s precisely why we must place our trust in the Lord as we begin 2022! Psalm 20:7 says, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” Why? Because His wisdom and insight are unmatched. Because His strength is unconquerable. And because His love for us is endless and unconditional. He is the very definition of faithfulness! We can rest assured that we are in good hands with our loving Father God.

Who will you count on in 2022? Who will you trust? Where will you seek guidance and wisdom? The way you answer these questions will determine the course of your life in 2022. I urge you to choose to follow God this coming year, because if you do, you will be walking the road of faith, you will see Him more clearly and His plan will be fulfilled in your life.

So again, I ask, who will you serve in 2022? Joshua 24:15 says, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” I pray that your answer resounds these powerful words from the Bible.

God has a beautiful plan and purpose for your life, and He is waiting for you with open arms. Commit to making 2022 a year invested in your relationship with Jesus!
