“This is the day that the Lord has made.” (Psalm 118:24)

What day is this? What day is that special day that the Lord has made?

It is this day. It is whatever day you are reading this column. Every day is God’s chosen day for you. Every day is a special day that He has planned for you. So, if you are waiting for a certain day for God’s blessings to be showered upon you, wait no longer. This is His day that He has given to you!

If you need salvation in Christ, this is the day He is ready to receive you.

“I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Cor. 6:2) This is a day appointed for you. It is a day of His favor for you. The day of favor is a day of salvation.

Does it mean there will never be another day for you to come into Christ? I hope not. But it does mean there will never be a better day for it! Every day of delay is a day wasted.

We said, “This is the day the Lord has made.” I could accurately carry that further and say it is the day He has made for you.

There is a time. There is a place. And there is a day of His choice. The Word says that day is today! Do not let the hours of this chosen day that the Lord has made for you slip away into the night without your finding and feeling the touch of His hand on your life!

How many days have you breathed air in this world? You can easily calculate that number with Internet assistance. But the number of the days of your life that have fallen into the tomb of the past is not the important number. The important number is “one!” That is the number of today. One day is today.

And this is the day that the Lord has made for you!
