FLEMING ISLAND - Fleming Island High quarterback Cibastian Broughton looks all confident as can be after an astounding freshman learning season with big results.

Now, as a sophomore, the field general, one quips, has to fulfill the now established potential he displayed last year.

Behind him, but not on the field at the first week of practice, is running back Sam Singleton who has been treading lightly through track with a hamstring issue while little brother Kaylib Singleton lights up the sprints for the track team.

Bulldog fullback Musthafa Marshall is also on the sidelines with his Crocs on nursing ailments.

Whether the duo is healthy for summer preparations will be seen.

If not, Jhace Edwards looks solid as a back with power and enthusiasm.

Up front, Ethan Hoffstetter, Ethan Williams and Braden Cunningham looks like a triple power play for pushing people with freshman Khalil Matthews a hefty 300 pound sledgehammer that needs to upload the Golden Eagle OL scheme.

Seniors Tim Lawrence and Brenden Cook, also heading to regions for track hurdles, are solid downfield players.

On defense, linebacker Jhoel Robinson is legit cover and destroy guy with Abram Wright on recon on the opposite side.
