So Good: The Neil Diamond Experience

Feb. 5, 7:30 p.m., tickets start at $29

This is a show, unlike any tribute you have ever seen or heard before. As a Broadway, television, and motion picture actor for more than 35 years, Robert Neary creates a one-of-a-kind, cut-above-the-rest production.

He talks about the songs and tells stories behind them. You will swear you are watching the master himself as he and the band perform 20 of Neil Diamond’s greatest hits. Songs like “Cherry Cherry,” “I Am, I Said,” “I’m a Believer,” “Solitary Man,” “Holly Holy,” “Coming to America,” “Sweet Caroline,” and so many more with a surprise finale that will leave you breathless. Close your eyes while you play the promo video and hear how exactly Robert has captured every nuance of Neil Diamond’s signature vocals. You can only imagine the amazement it brings when you witness the show live. So Good! The Neil Diamond Experience is guaranteed to leave you speechless.

Born and raised in East Meadow, Long Island, New York, Neary gained immediate success as an actor when he was 20, with a guest star role in the Television series “Fame,” and then opposite Jason Bateman in the film, “Teen Wolf Too.” He has since gone on to guest star in more than 50 television shows, including “Criminal Minds,” “Sons of Anarchy,” “The Closer,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Blue Bloods,” “Justified,” “The Fosters,” “FBI: Most Wanted,” “Weeds,” “Medium” “NCIS” and “NCIS New Orleans.” He landed his first Broadway show in 1996, starring in “Smokey Joe’s Café,” and then toured as the evil Zoser in Elton John’s Broadway hit “Aida.” He understudied Sonny's lead role in the Broadway smash, “A Bronx Tale, The Musical.” Robert grew up listening, mimicking, and creating his own style for only two people in the music world. Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond.

It has been a deep passion, to one day perform and put together a tribute show to Neil Diamond like none other. And here it is.

Robert Neary was born and raised in East Meadow, Long Island, NY. He gained immediate success as an actor after moving to Los Angeles when he was 20, with a guest star role in the television series "Fame,” and then opposite Jason Bateman in the film, "Teen Wolf Too.” After a two-year stint at General Hospital as Officer Frank Marino, Robert moved to Nashville to pursue Contemporary Gospel music. He recorded two solo projects before returning to Los Angeles and his first love of acting. He has since gone on to guest star in more than 50 television shows, including

"Criminal Minds,” "Sons of Anarchy,” "The Closer,” "Grey's Anatomy,” " Blue Bloods,” "Justified,” "The Fosters,” "FBI: Most Wanted,” "Weeds,” "Medium" "NCIS" and "NCIS New Orleans.” He has also done more than 25 national commercials and Motion Pictures, most recently, Escape at Dannemora on Showtime.

Robert landed his first Broadway show in 1996, starring in "Smokey Joe's Cafe,” where he met his wife, Natasha. Together, they went on to tour in the Elton John, Time Rice Broadway hit, "Aida,” where he played the evil Zoser.

In 2017, Robert returned to New York for a third time when he understudied Sonny's lead role in the Broadway smash, "A Bronx Tale, The Musical,” and got to perform the famed role over a dozen times. He now resides on Long Island again with Natasha and their two incredibly talented children, Selah and Canaan.

Robert grew up listening to, mimicking, and creating his style to only two people in the music world: Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond.

It has been a deep passion of mine to one day perform and put together a tribute show to Neil Diamond like none other.

“One Night in Memphis” features more than 90 minutes of pure rockabilly, country, gospel and rock and roll in a very authentic and energetic presentation featuring nationally known talent.

The show recreates the magical night of Dec. 4, 1956, when Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash jammed at Sam Phillip’s Sun Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. Little did they know that their jam session was being recorded and preserved for all time, representing all the performers in their prime and the best music of that time.

“One Night in Memphis” was created and directed by John Mueller from the highly acclaimed show “Winter Dance Party” and has met with the same accolades and audience standing ovations. The San Francisco Examiner raves, “An Amazing Show.”
