CLEARWATER — Cheryl Kennedy, owner of Home Video Studio — Green Cove Springs, won the prestigious Backlot and President’s Awards for Best of Show with a video produced, shot, and edited over three days. The Hanley Awards, HVS’s version of the Oscars, are open to national competitors and presented to winners at the event’s culmination.

“The Hanley Award is a testament to the excellence and innovation that drive our industry forward,” said Robert Hanley, founder and CEO of Home Video Studio. Kennedy’s work was nominated in six categories: Video Production, Photo Keepsake, Photo Restoration, Live Event, Sports Video and TV Web Video.

In addition to winning the Backlot and President’s Awards, she earned the Farmout of the Year and Five-Year Achievement Awards.

In addition to the awards, Kennedy participated in several days of intensive video production and marketing coursework, culminating in the gala black-tie Hanley Awards ceremony.
