Jim Luksic is the new managing editor of Clay Today. He will step into the well-worn shoes of Don Coble, who will transition into the role of senior reporter and photographer.
Luksic (pronounced “luck-sick”) is a veteran journalist with more than three decades of experience as an editor and reporter. A Kansas native who lived 25 years in the Midwest, he has worked for publications from coast to coast – including Key West and Santa Barbara.
When he isn’t sitting at a keyboard, Luksic enjoys dining out, watching movies and sports. His favorite teams are all over the map: Cincinnati Reds, New York Islanders, Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas State Wildcats.
He spent last year in the rugged and wintry Mountain West traversing Colorado and Wyoming. Luksic said he is grateful to return to sunny Florida, which generally doesn’t require an ice scraper and snow shovel.
