GREEN COVE SPRINGS, FL – On Monday, businessman Judson Sapp filed the necessary paperwork to run for Florida’s 3rd Congressional District, covering all of Alachua, Bradford, Clay, Putnam, Union, and northern Marion county. Sapp announced his candidacy at 11am Monday morning, and by 7pm, Sapp had raised over $100,000 – with the vast majority of donations coming from within the district.

“Judson Sapp’s ability to raise funds shows the strength of his candidacy,” said Meredith O’Rourke, Sapp’s Finance Director. “Clearly, Judson has a message that resonates with conservative donors enabling him to raise $100,000 within hours of his announcement.”

“I am blessed with wonderful friends and family who believe in our country and our conservative values,” Sapp said. “This will be a long campaign and I’m willing to work hard to earn the support of voters throughout the district.”

Judson Sapp was raised in Clay County, Florida. Sapp is the CEO of W.J. Sapp Railroad Contractor, which operates throughout the Southeastern United States. Judson lives in Green Cove Springs, Florida with his wife Kelly and two sons, Willard and Ryder.
