Over the past seven months, I’ve been working with (former Orange Park Town Councilwoman) Connie Thomas, (Clay County Board of Commissioners Chairman) Mike Cella and representatives from the nonprofit organizations located on College Drive.
Many would like to see the road become safe, aesthetically pleasing and become a destination for culture, eating and public gatherings. My field of interest is deliberative dialogue, a form of civil discourse that helps people talk across differences.
In this case, we hope to involve the public in a series of deliberative forums on Aug. 19 and 21. I am very impressed with the way people have come together to work collaboratively.
