MIDDLEBURG -The Clay SafetyNet Alliance met with the purpose of networking and strengthening community resources on Thursday.
The group of local organizations came to the Mercy Support Services center to hear and share ideas for how they could be of service to each other.
The alliance, formerly known as the Mercy Network of Clay County, was formed in 2003 as a way for local non-profits and government organizations to collaborate in solving short-term community needs.
Organizations that are members of the SafetyNet assist with a range of needs, including family services, educational mentoring, disaster relief and mental health counseling.
The Clay SafetyNet Alliance meets on the third Thursday of every month from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
