ORANGE PARK – Judge Raymond Forbes set a Green Cove Springs man’s bond at $50,003 for punching and scratching a Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputy K-9 handler and an HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital security guard on Tuesday, March 25.
According to the arrest report, Abel Davila, 52, was booked into the Clay County Jail after deputies were called to the emergency room. Witnesses said he punched K-9 Ory’s handler in the chest and scratched the dog’s face and punched the guard in the upper chest.
Davila suffered bleeding and swelling to his mouth and nose, and he was treated and released to the custody of deputies.
His next court appearance will be on April 28.
