McDonald’s offering grants to Clay County teachers, nonprofits

CLAY COUNTY – Teachers and nonprofits have until Oct. 13 to apply for grants ranging from $1,000 to $20,000 to serve children 5-18, including those in kindergarten through 12th grade.

The company said the McDonald’s Golden Grants program brings positive economic opportunities to the neighborhoods they serve, including engaging in philanthropic activities that provide access to education, empowerment and pathways to entrepreneurship.

Clay County is one of the selected areas that qualifies for the program.

Qualifying activities include after-school programs, community service, team sports, technology, arts programs, education initiatives, mentorship and empowerment programs.

Grants will be $20,000, $10,000, $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000.

Activities include the following, as long as a need is demonstrated: arts, education initiatives, mentorship and empowerment programs, after-school programs, community service, sports activities and technology,

Interested educators and nonprofit administrators can apply for a 2024 grant by choosing a county from the drop-down menu at McDGoldenGrants.com/Florida and completing the application. Only one application from a program/initiative/organization will be accepted.
