GREEN COVE SPRINGS – Cool Zoo, an interactive and educational wildlife travel exhibit, which features hands-on encounters with exotic animals, will be featured at the Watermelon Festival this weekend at the Clay County Fairgrounds.
Cool Zoo’s exhibit will feature a variety of exotic animals such as kangaroos, lemurs, alligators, snakes, parrots, skunks and goats. Cool Zoo will also be sharing their most popular attraction, Mister Crab’s Hermit Crab encounter. Attendees of the festival will be able to interact with these neat creatures and even get the opportunity to adopt and take home a hermit crab. The Cool Zoo exhibit also provides audiences with education on the individual species as well as information on the zoo’s conservational efforts.
“It is an honor to participate in this wonderful event and present the community with the opportunity to receive a hands-on education on these beautiful creatures. We hope that through our efforts, people will have a newfound appreciation for these amazing animals,” said Jim DeBerry, President, and CEO of Cool Zoo.
The Watermelon Fest is a two-day event full of fun and festivities that will be held on June 25 and 26. Attendees will enjoy arts and crafts, live entertainment, delicious food, pony rides, and of course, endless amounts of watermelon. The hands-on exotic animal encounter Cool Zoo provides is just the icing on the cake of this awesome event.
