LeRoy R. Schaub
LeRoy R. Schaub, age 74, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida.
LeRoy was born on July 10, 1946 in Chamberlain, South Dakota to Edward Albert Schaub and Alma Dorthea Breading Schaub.
He proudly served in and retired from the United States Navy.
His proudest accomplishment was becoming a Chief Petty Officer. LeRoy served 22 and half years of dedicated service. He was a member of the VFW Post 1988, American Legion Post 0250, Fleet Reserve Association Branch 91, and Fraternal Order Eagles 4505.
LeRoy married his loving and faithful wife, Emma Dianne, in May 1970. They were married for 50 years. LeRoy was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply and sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
LeRoy is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Alma Schaub.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Dianne Schaub; his children Michele Christianson (Chris), Gloria Russell, Tina DeCarlo, Edward Schaub, and Dawn Schaub; grandchildren Michele Schaub, Justin and Chelsi Christianson, Crystel and Christopher Russell, and Victor, Nick, and Grace DeCarlo; five great-grandchildren with one great-granddaughter due in February, 2021; and brother Edward Schaub (Dorothy).
A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Hardage-Giddens Rivermead, 127 Blanding Boulevard, Orange Park, Florida 32073. The family received friends one hour prior beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Russell E. Pence
Russell E. Pence, age 88 was a resident of Green Cove Springs, FL and formerly a longtime resident of Middletown, OH.
Russell was the beloved husband of Janet M. Pence; loving father of Bradley A. (Celia) and Steven E. Pence (Julie); cherished grandfather of Kallie (Stewart), Austin, and Braedan; great-grandfather to Jaxon and Samuel; and dear brother of Nancy Hathaway.
Russell was born February 28, 1932. He passed peacefully at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, FL. Russell served our country for several years in the United States Air Force.
A memorial service will be planned once the COVID-19 pandemic is under control.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to any charity of choice.

Robert N. (Bob) Schuler

Robert N. (Bob) Schuler, Sr. Robert N. (Bob) Schuler, Sr. passed away peacefully at home in Davie, FL on November 15, 2020 at the age of 92. Bob was a dedicated husband to the late Leona “Noni” Schuler and loving father to his children Roberta “Bobbye” Schuler, Robert (Nancy) Schuler, Jr., Dorothy (Melvin) Barnett, 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was born on March 21, 1928 in Kingsford, Michigan and was the youngest of five children. He enlisted in the Army in 1950 and fought in the Korean War. He was awarded a purple heart after being injured during the Battle of Heartbreak Ridge. After two years of active duty he transferred to Army Reserves for four years. He began his civilian career in 1955 at Brookley Air Force Base in Mobile, Alabama. When the base was closed in 1965, he joined the Naval Training Device Center at NAS Jacksonville moving the family to Orange Park, Florida. His career evolved and he was “a leader in A-7 Weapon Systems Trainer modifications and F/A-18 support. … one of the first Field Engineering Representatives to take an active role in the establishment of software baselines and the in-house software modification program on the A-7 training device.” He retired in 1986. Along with his profession, Bob was extremely involved with St. Mary’s Catholic Church (which became St. Catherine’s) and later also attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was an avid bowler and active member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, VFW, and American Legion. He resided in Orange Park until October 2016 when he moved south to Davie, FL to be closer to his children. Per their wishes, Bob and Noni will be interred together at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
