He was a 40-year member of the Fleet Reserve Association and an avid supporter of numerous veteran’s organizations. Gene enjoyed a variety of hobbies over the years, he enjoyed fixing cars, working in the yard and garden, and was an avid reader, but his favorite activity was being with his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 22 at 5 pm at the Orange Cove Seventh-day Adventist church, 4501 Hwy 17, Fleming Island, FL 32003. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations can be made to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or a charity of your choice in remembrance. Thank you and God Bless.
